Digital Promise Micro-Credentials

As of December, 2018, teachers can be certified in the two aspects of fostering student agency: Motivation and Metacognition through the

Digital Promise Micro-Credentialing platform.

Teacher Certification

Teacher certification for Digital Transformation consists of earning all 8 Digital Transformation teacher badges plus completing a capstone project.

  • Creating Technology Substitution Lesson
  • Digital Tools for a Student-centered Classroom
  • Creating a Digital Classroom
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Subject and Grade Band Specific Technology Integration
  • Data-informed Instruction
  • Digital Assessment Strategies 

Capstone Project:  As a capstone project, the teacher will develop and implement a digital lesson plan and submit the plan, a video of the implementation, and a reflection that includes a brief description of the content, instructional strategies, goals, outcomes, and commentary.

 

Principal Certification

Principal certification for Digital Transformation consists of earning all 7 Digital Transformation principal badges plus completing a capstone project.

  • Data-informed Decision-Making
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Using Digital Tools to Create a Culture of Learning
  • Student-Centered Environment
  • Assessing the 1:1 classroom and instruction

Capstone Project:  As a capstone project, the principal will conduct an evaluation of their Digital Transformation program. 

School Certification

A school can be certified for Digital Transformation if  80% of teachers and the principal have received their certification, and recommendations from the Agentic Learning review of the principal capstone project have been implemented.

District Certification

A district can be certified for Digital Transformation  if 80% of schools have received their certification, and the following are in place:

    • Vision, Goals, and Metrics
    • Cross-organizational committee 
    • Communication Plan
    • Budget/ 5 year financial outlook
    • 5 year technology plan
    • Continuous Improvement Program
  • Project Plan(if new implementation)
  • Setting up data-generating systems

Teacher certification for Student Agency consists of earning all 11 Student Agency teacher badges plus completing a capstone project.
